Department of Treasury Exchange Rates 2020 & FBAR Reporting: Each year, the Department of Treasury publishes their update foreign income exchange rates. While Taxpayers are not required to use these exchange rates, oftentimes the Department of Treasury Exchange rates are used for translating currency on forms such as the FBAR (FinCEN Form 114) and IRS Form 8938 (Foreign Account Tax Compliance Act) — the latter which is filed with the IRS.
